Susanne Goldstein, LPC, NCC

Susanne earned her Master’s Degree in Education with a focus on Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Bridgewater State University in Massachusetts.  She is a Licensed Clinical Counselor, (LPC #16914) in the state of Arizona.  Over the last 19 years, her passion for assisting people to heal and develop authentic connections with “Self” led her to work with adolescents, young adults, and families.  Susanne’s professional counseling background is in developmental trauma, family systems, and cognitive behavioral theoretical perspectives and she has clinical expertise in trauma-informed care.

She has experience working in a therapeutic boarding school for adolescent girls, crisis intervention call centers, on-site crisis intervention at crime scenes with police, in-home therapy, detoxification facilities, mental health hospitals and private agencies.

Susanne incorporates a holistic and experiential approach to treating trauma by seeing her clients as unique individuals while guiding them to a state of wholeness.  She has specialty training in treating developmental trauma and relationship injury utilizing EMDR with an attachment and somatic focus, Trauma Release Exercises, NeuroAffective Relational Model which focuses on attachment repair, Post Induction and Cognitive Behavioral Therapies.

Susanne believes that developing trust and rapport with her clients provides a safe therapeutic setting for the healing to begin. Therapy should not be a lifelong journey, when you treat the root, you treat the symptoms that are getting in your way of living in authenticity, freedom, and presence. Can you heal? Of course. With motivation, a safe therapeutic space and a level of expertise to guide you, you can break the patterns that are not working in your life. When we treat the brain and the body we experience freedom and connection – A Return to Wholeness.

Laurie DiLorenzo, LCSW

Laurie completed her undergrad and graduate studies at the University of Illinois and is licensed as a clinical social worker. Her background includes working for the University of Michigan Transplant team, residential treatment, psychiatric hospitals as well as work in community mental health and the prison system. Her career has allowed her to provide services to children, adolescents, adults and couples.

Throughout her career, Laurie recognized that the majority of her clients had a common experience, one of relational injury and developmental trauma. These clients would often share that traditional therapy was not effective for them. Passionate about providing effective treatment, Laurie pursued extensive training in evidenced based modalities that worked holistically with an individual. Research is very clear that many of the challenges we are confronted with can best be worked with utilizing a mind-body approach. Laurie is trained in Somatic Experiencing, Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR), NeuroAffective Relational Model and attachment repair.

Laurie also has training in other evidenced based modalities effective in the treatment of anxiety, depression and relationship challenges.

Laurie shares “ my goal as a therapist is to help individuals and couples gain a better understanding of their feelings, thoughts, behaviors and relationship patterns so they are better able to live more satisfying and deliberate lives. When harmony between the mind and body is restored, healing naturally occurs. It is a privilege to share that journey with my clients”.

Michelle Person

Michelle is a Board-Certified Neurofeedback Practitioner, accredited by the Biofeedback Certification International Alliance (BCIA).  She has been practicing neurofeedback and optimizing brains for over six years.  Most recently, she has worked within an inpatient facility, specializing in trauma and addiction, providing oversight of a dozen neurofeedback technicians while maintaining a caseload of her own. Over this time, she has treated thousands of patients, supporting them through the healing process, and preparing them to return to a life of freedom and hope.

Michelle has trained under renowned NFB pioneers and completed training courses in five different types of neurofeedback, as well as numerous biofeedback devices. Michelle is also trained in Pia Mellody’s Post Induction Therapy (PIT) model of healing childhood developmental trauma.

Michelle has utilized neurofeedback to support the reduction, and ultimately elimination, of anxiety, depression, headaches/migraines, mood dysregulation, poor sleep, impulsivity, stress, chronic pain, OCD symptoms, panic, dissociation, and other conditions caused by poor brain function. A specialized screening process allows Michelle to customize NFB protocols to the individual and specific areas of focus.

Michelle believes a holistic approach is most effective. Through supporting greater regulation, a person can function more optimally, and in turn, engage more effectively in other types of therapy and self-improvement. Michelle strives to assist the individual in achieving a calm body, engaged mind, embodied presence, and improved quality of life.  She believes that forming a collaborative partnership with clients is key in meeting goals and supporting an individual’s return to wholeness and wellness.
