SUPPORT FOR THERAPISTS
EMDR CONSULTING
It is important as an EMDR therapist to stay connected to the EMDR community and be accountable to the ethics, values, deepening your understanding of the model and implementation of EMDR therapy. An important way to do this is to connect with other like minded EMDR therapists who are committed to enhancing the therapy process for clients. These groups will support the therapist deepening their understanding of the standard, restricted and future template protocols. Another crucial piece that will be supported is to further develop an understanding of self, the therapist attachment patterns and issues of countertransference. This supportive group will be conducted virtually and in person in small intimate groups. This will allow more individualized support and case consultation.
CASE CONSULTATION FOR EMDR THERAPIST OFFERINGS

Support will include but is not limited to:
Licensed professionals are encouraged to consult as part of ethical practice. Reviewing presented cases and case conceptualization, selecting the right target, drilling down the negative and/or positive cognition, ensuring appropriate application of all 8 phases of the EMDR therapy protocol, a refresher for the EMDR Basic Training, engaging EMDR virtually, developing the treatment plan and engaging a somatic and attachment focus to your treatment plan.

EMDRIA requires 20 hours of consultation by an Approved Consultant in EMDR as part of the Certification process.

**Please note that per EMDRIA requirements for certification, at least 5 hours of consultation must be done with an Approved Consultant.
