Finding Meaning in the Midst of Grief

Wildflowers in a field

For many years, I have sat with people navigating the tender terrain of loss. Again and again, I’ve seen the truth that grief is not something we “get over,” it’s something we learn to live with, and in time, it can even deepen our connection to life.

Grief lives in our hearts and in our bodies. It shows up in fatigue, in waves of emotion, in the moments when we wonder if life will ever feel normal again. While no two grief journeys are the same, one thing is universal: grief is a reflection of love.

That’s why I am so passionate about supporting clients through their unique journey of grief. It’s not about “fixing” the loss, but about helping the nervous system and the heart find a new way to hold it.

Why Grief Work Matters

So often, people tell themselves they should be “further along” or “stronger by now.” But grief has no timeline. When left unattended, it can harden into isolation, numbness, or even physical illness.

Grief work offers a safe space to bring the unspoken into the light. It allows the body and mind to process the loss with compassion instead of judgment. In this process, clients often discover new meaning, new rituals of remembrance, and new ways of carrying love forward.

Walking the Path of Grief Together

In sessions, I draw from approaches like EMDR, Internal Family Systems, mindfulness practices, and somatic awareness to help clients move gently with their grief rather than against it. Together, we explore what the loss means, how it continues to shape life, and what healing might look like, not as forgetting, but as learning to live fully again.

Healing doesn’t mean letting go of the person you love. It means learning how to hold that love in a way that sustains you, rather than overwhelms you.

An Invitation

If you are walking through grief, I would be honored to walk beside you. Whether your loss is recent or decades old, it is never too late to find comfort, meaning, and renewal.

At Mariposa Healing Center, my commitment is to provide a safe and compassionate space for your healing, so you don’t have to carry it all alone.

If you’re ready to take the next step, I invite you to reach out.

With care,
